VerbBoard is a verb conjugation and practice app. This policy explains what data we collect and how we use it.
Data linked to your account
When you sign in with Google, we store:
- Your Google account email address
- Your display name
- Your profile picture URL
- Your learning progress: which verbs you have seen and marked as known, and your practice badges
This data is stored in Google Firestore and is used solely to sync your progress across devices. We do not sell it or use it for advertising.
Data not linked to your account
We log anonymous session data for performance monitoring and to understand how the app is used:
- Language being studied
- UI language preference
- Device type (mobile / desktop)
This data is not linked to your identity and is not retained in a form that identifies you.
Feedback
If you submit feedback via the 💬 form, the text you write is stored. Feedback is not linked to your account unless you choose to include identifying information in the message.
Third-party services
- Google Sign-In (Firebase Auth) — handles authentication. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
- Google Cloud — data is stored on Google Cloud infrastructure (Firestore, Cloud Run) in the US.
- Google Text-to-Speech — audio is generated from verb forms and cached. No user data is sent to TTS.
Data deletion
To delete your account data, email assistantderecherche@gmail.com. We will remove all data linked to your account within 30 days.
Children
VerbBoard is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the effective date above.
